Great video trawling and assembly ! ” I think I might get into the shed and make meself a Telly , Marjorie ! Won’t be long… “

hahaha.
as a kid i was given an old telly like that and i took it apart and then tried breaking the screen with a sledge hammer – they make them SOLID !
reflector
Ruddy Heck, Mate ! Not that solid ! You were a very Punk child, obviously – watching way too many Alternative / Grunge videos.
MuscularTeeth
replied
curious.

So was I ! I loved information and learning, but skateboarding and surfing gradually grabbed much of my focus and attention. Understanding how to make a surf board do whatever you want it to is far more interesting and rewarding than people will ever know – I never imagined I would quit !
I have a skate video where they threw Marjorie’s TV from the second floor ! Very impressive to see ! :)

haha cool. yes like anything there is much than meets the eye.
same with my music – anyone can pull up a beat, but after that the detail required can mean spending 2 weeks adjusting teh sine wave on the kick so it doesnt interfere with the resonance of that triangle fading out with its delay.
:)
you make spinning a skateboard easy but id break an ankle.
actually similar with my firestick spinning – anyone can spin a stick arund sorta ok, but once you get past that the next level is insane.
reflector
“adjusting the sine wave on the kick so it doesn’t interfere with the resonance of that triangle fading out with its delay” = very tech MT ! I have applied sound filters with Sine Waves to morph things into something new, but done very little actual recording. I used a stereo Lapel microphone a few times.

yeha its just something that has to be done when your doing what i do.. otheriwse its just a mash of noises. thats just one example.

How times have changed. We now see tellies as flat screens, sometimes no thicker than a thumb. At least some of those weren’t chucked out… I’ve seen them used as fish tanks!!
