Amateur is defined as for the love of something. I am that. Proudly so. I am self taught and I am still learning. I have been creating images for about ten years and sharing for five (give of take).

A very moving image….I see this kind of scene every time I visit my very elderly step-dad. He’s fairly alert, but oh there are so many who are not, it can be heartbreaking. You’ve caught the mood perfectly. V.
Thank you. The persons in ths photo are since gone. But she was so very devoted in her visits; even though he really was not aware of her being there.
Congrats on your well deserved Home Page. I have just finished a voluntary project – photographing everyone in my late dad’s part of a retirement village so they can have portraits to give their rellies for Christmas (and have an up to date photo – something that sadly doesn’t always happen) … I am so moved by the scenarios one sees, the courage, the love, care. Thank you for posting this beautifully evocative image.
Your words touch me. My full time position is with seniors. I occasionally capture a special moment like this. Though, not as poweful.
