A ridiculously early rise was done to get to the Face Track beneath Cradle Mtn (Tasmania), for the first light of dawn. Rob Mullner, Matt, Shelley and myself did a brisk walk to the vantage point, and promptly froze as minus 5 temp winds chilled us to the bone…..but it was exhilarating, totally, and well worth getting up early. The mists and dawn colours were just awesome, as were the last stages of the fagus, dotted throughout the face and valleys! Thx to Rob and Matt for their patience and guidance, much appreciated.
