Gday Jayme….at first instance, totally awesome! Great clarity, easy movements, easy to focus, and fairly fast at f4…...and comes with a flare hood, which is a bonus!! You thinking of getting one? I can recommend it, for sure…..as with all things Canon, really.

I DO remember that now…...the 5D is a ripper too, but have to confess to stumbling around a bit….......but I’ll get used to it!! The brain is still in 400D mode, unfortunately!!

The minimalistic approach to this does give it a very Zen like feel and for that reason I love it and using mono is the icing on the cake for me! Great composition and I love the reflections and I would totally be proud to hang this on my wall David :) I love it when artists sneak outside of their comfort zone so good for you ;)

Hey Dave, you got 5D Mk II! Wow! So cool! That would make a huge difference! I remember upgrading to 5D from 30D, it was a shock! I especially liked the deep, meaningful, statement like clicking sound when pressing the shutter button, still love it!.. Now saving pennies for the Mark II. Envy you! I really like the extra dimension it gives over the 400D…...the poor thing resides in the bottom of the bag now, but it was a great workhorse, and won’t be forgotten!! I’m still sussing out all the details on the 5D, but its like a journey thru an amusement park…..everything is FUN!!

Gday Matty…....it has to be the prettiest little spot, so calm (at times, I’m sure its not!!) and peaceful…...and i feel very grateful that you allow us to take our pics of it…...
There is something about the way it sits, the way it angles out to the main body of water…....it seems to work the light angles really well, and probably better at different times of the year…...I suspect!
This shot was my first effort with a new camera and lens…..and also my first try at something done high key like this…..so, for you to say that you liked it is quite humbling, and i thankyou very much!!
