I see the “snake” of kundalini reaching the heart chakra here, but it also gives me the feeling of pain… can’t put my finger as to how and why… as for the Gold, I kept digging for most of my life, and the deeper I go, the brighter it appears to be what surrounds me, but the gold is yet to be reached… but I’ll persevere with love and humbleness.

I have wanted to comment on this before Mariam. This series is very interesting and yet something wasn’t quite right. I wasn’t able to pinpoint the area and now I feel able to. I have started doing some individual studies with someone who is very knowledgeable on Ancient Egypt. I am working with him monthly on certain aspects of my work. Especially as they appear while I’m painting. Your series has had a profound effect on me and today I know why…..they all pertain to Ancient Egypt and this one expresses so much from the past. As you probably know in Ancient Egypt, the direction east was considered the direction of life, because the sun rose in the east. West was considered the direction of death, of entering the underworld, because the sun set in the west. They believed that during the night, the sun travelled through the underworld to make its way back to the
east so it could rise in the east again on the next day. I have a very strong connection with Mariam, even if I don’t communicate with you….you are in my thoughts daily! Now I know why!!! Good to discover these things! The whole series reflects your intuitive insights and unique talent! Thinking of you….as always!Sx

this is stunning…magnificent…indeed looks like a torso…all the energy good and bad stored in the spine…so easy it is for people to concentrate on the bad, when there is so much goodness and light from within.
    amazing piece
