Above the clouds

Above the low
icy clouds
as they roll along their way;
look for the nick
that starts to tear
to catch a glimpse
the day.
Even though
you stand in rain,
the cold soaks through
all layers there,
be sure that always
’bove those clouds
shines the sun
in blue skies fair.

Pondering the cold, low clouds rolling from the north this evening yet though we’re in the throes of wintry sleet, there were gaps in the banks of clouds and beautiful blue skies above looked like they never change. Got me thinking about life in general. In the context of our own life times nothing really changes even though personally we feel we go through significant events. So, no matter how bad something may feel, it really is only ephemeral.

  • sorry, not supposed to be preaching, just came to me in the car as I sat in my driveway. I think perhaps I am trying to remind myself.

I drove to Lara today and all the way there I viewed dark clouds whilst in my rear vision mirror was the wonderful blue of a morning sky.
Summed up my day and where I was going.

  • ah yes, I hear ya. Sometimes though I’ve been in the opposite situation, but it always does seem to be the other way around!

One thing I love about flying is getting to the blue sky, no matter how bad the weather is. If only it were that easy on the ground! Lovely write Anne.

your writing possesses many contrasts between cynicism and hope and contains beauty of words , I found you by going on community best always/ from a red bubbler

  • Thank you Nora. I try not to be cynical but that layer is always there I guess. The hope is trying overcome that. :)
