The existence of heroes

While Superman flew anti-clockwise to go back in time to save Lois from the earthquake, Spiderman was swinging his way through the city searching for Mary Jane. At the same time The Doctor matched wits with The Master. Jack Harkness was trying to convince the fairies not to take the changeling. Sarah Connor was doing her thing with lasers. Batman was clinging to the side of a monstrous cathedral watching the Joker fall to his death. Wolverine was licking his knuckles and whimpering; and Van Helsing was loading his cross bow. Wonder Woman hoisted her bustier, then took hold of the invisible joy stick, Xena drew her keen blade, and Max Headroom mega-bitted his way through the tv network helping Edison Carter with the latest scoop. The existence of these heroes help me to sleep at night. I cannot contemplate the horror of a world without them.
