In your moment

I don’t know where you’ve been
or where you’re going to;
just that you’re in this moment, now,
in this day,
and wonder why you do your life
in the hardest way you can,
a self-made punishment.
Or are there voices taunting you
with loving words of care,
but expecting the impossible
from those who are not there,
right where you stand,
right now,
in your moment?

    nice write Anne…… not there at the moment but can definitely relate to this

  • Me neither Wigs. But I see it all around me, people being treated as though they are children, and sometimes not having the courage to choose for themselves. Hard not to join those voices too at times!
