The Educator
for the Flash Fiction weekend challenge
The Educator belongs to the following groups:
Flash FictionThe annoying prat’s always lecturing me like it’s his lot in life to educate me. “Just lift up that rock, Ruby, and see what you can find underneath; wow there’s a centipede”. And the rest. “No, that’s not how you plant roses, fill the hole first with dry manure to feed them; I like to dry my glasses with the old tea towel, polishing in a circular motion. No, that’s not how you mop the floor, use boiling hot water. Hey, let’s spend the day down by the river and see what we can find under the rocks.” So that’s what we did. We went down there, I took my wedding ring off and put it under a rock. I said “hey Phillip, look what I found under a rock.” The short sighted git leaned down and guess what? That’s where I found his head, under another, heavier rock.
