A case study

Artist's Description

Another one for my study and fascination of case moths. I’ve not yet found an authoritative source of information about these creatures (although I confess not searched hard yet) but I have an abundance of them around my home. I love the way they build their houses out of immediately available materials; this one from the corea bells it’s feeding on. Another, nearby, has made its cocoon from the pink geranium and yet another has a house of weeping miniature maple twigs. I hope to put them all together in a poster at some stage showcasing their different homes.

Specs: Fl 4mm, F2.8, Exp 1/60th, ISO100.
