Taken at about 9.30am, Tuesday 2 June, this view is looking west towards Links Estate from Gisborne Rd, Darley. Low clouds, low light, blue hills, crops and autumn leaves were all too much to resist.

beautiful photograph, love the warm autumn tones in the foreground in contrast with the cool, low lying clouds! :)

  • Thanks JB. It was just so pretty. A bit dark and a little sun would have made it perfect, but it’s very overcast today, no chance of sun while the clouds were still low (funnily enough). :o)

There’s a software programme called Adobe Lightroom, I’ll bet it would bring the colour and light out in this brilliantly! Not that it doesn’t look gorgeous as it is, but some of those photo editors can do some pretty amazing things. :-)

  • Are you offering to play with it Jennifer? You would be most welcome to! Alas my skills are quite limited.

Well I admit I just downloaded the watermarked sample to give it a shot, it’s quite a subtle editing programme, brings up the colour and lighting in a shot, I could email you what the sample came out like if you like?

Such a beautiful photo… Late Autumn brings with it such amazing colours. Hey, this would look fantastic up on a wall, particularly a winery or farmhouse kitchen! So much better than boring old grapes and bread. All we need now is for some connoisseur to spot this and say “I want it. I want it really really big… and I want 10 more for my friends”!!!

  • oh music to my ears!!!!

The folige is a great counterpoint to the fog. I went to school in Darjeeling, in the Himalayas and sometimes the cold mist would obscure one end of the soccer field that looked out onto the second-highest mountain in the world.
