Artist's Description

A bridge of sandstone construction located halfway between Melton and Bacchus Marsh, Victoria. Built (finished) in 1859, no doubt this bridge carried countless thousands on their way to the goldfields. The road was diverted in 1960 and the bridge restored in 1963 and now classified by the National Trust.
