beautiful shot Anne, well done
:o) Thanks you Zing. Bit experimental for me so wasn’t really sure about it. I like the effect but just wasn’t sure if it is ‘good’ practice.

Magical -like a Turner painting
Thank you Tom. :o)
haha its the Jesus statues…. Rubes and I always chat about them when we go past. We have never stopped to have a look though yet… really beautiful capture Anne with the sun and the irrigation going! and frack good practice, if it works aesthetically, then its good!
Aha, you know them then Jem! On my way home from dropping Robyn off at her dad’s and I couldn’t ignore the quality of light (and also had to take some pix of the avenue for the paper – it’s the best vantage point and somehow quite peaceful up there).
This is such a beautiful photo. The colouring, the depth, the everything… its soooo beautiful!!! and look at all that water!!! I’d want to dive right in under those sprinklers, especially today, even if it was borewater.Do they leave Jesus and his co statues there all year long or bring them out at Christmas?
The statues are a permanent fixture on the hill at Ta Pinu, GG. There are quite a lot of them, plus signs with scripture and life philosophies. It’s a Maltese church and grounds with crosses, a chapel, and religious displays. It’s a very peaceful place and a beautiful view at the entrance to the town. During the Christian festival, the cross at the top of the hill is lit up but I think that’s the only additional thing they do at this time of year.
Wow… It sounds amazing. Obviously a place one must visit if ever in the area.
What effect is it Anne?Whatever it is, it looks really really good. It makes the picture way more than just an image, but gives it a sort of feeling as well…
No effect Cathryn. That’s the raw photo.
Awesome work Anne!
The lens glare is cool in this, and good work on the framing with the statues!
Thank you Steven. It’s one of my Faves. I have a large framed print of this over my desk. I like to disappear in there from time to time.
