Anne, I loathed my phone company so much I went straight to the Telecommunications Ombudsman and lodged a complaint – and got a huge cheque as compensation. Sweet! Switched to iinet on the advice of friends and have no complaints.
Unless AAPT try and lure me back with a brochure showing a beautiful little black cat….MUST…....RESIST….....FELINES…....

@ Bellemusker, I was also with aapt, being on hold for 3 hours, they were so bad, never thought to go to the ombudsman, maybe I should, they charged me for 2 months net and phone when I had changed to Internode haha

This is funny. When my dad bought a new computer for his home office I went to listen to something on it and the sound just blasted out. I quickly found a button on the monitor to lower the volume, shut off the computer and ran out of the room as my dad came in. . . .
A few hours later my dad gets off the phone after dialing the manufacturer for help and having his call transferred to India. After doing a million different things including rebooting the computer, they still can’t seem to figure out why it does not make any noise.

I just changed phone/internet/mobile services because the old company apparently couldn’t come and do repair on lines that were fried by lightning for at least 2 weeks, and I found this out only after repeatedly being put on hold and transferred round & round for about 3 days.
and the new company (at&t) gave me a coupon for $250!

test at bottom of your comment doesn’t show up, excitable! But I see I’ve touched a nerve in the vein of communications here. I’ve always hated Telstra and thought Optus would be better. But the answer to that is not the same as their advertising slogan.
