Moorabool/Ballarat Redbubblers

I’m hoping to get a meet up happening at Bacchus Marsh at 3pm on Sunday 13 July. There are a dozen or more Bubblers from the Moorabool/Ballarat areas and the invitation is open to anyone in the area on the day, (including Geelong bubblers)!

Please RSVP in this journal so I can book a venue (just in case there’s heaps of us). At this stage I’m hoping for the Flying Teapot as the venue, but depends on whether or not it is open and wanting a largish group.

If you’d like to receive updates I’ll submit my journal in the Melbourne/Victoria Group as well as a forum topic.

Or get in touch with me by bubblemail.
:o)
I know there are already a couple of takers!

    Sorry Anne.
But Sunday July 13th, Dawn and I will be in the city in full costume, as we are going to see the musical “Wicked”.
Dawn will be in her witches costume and I will be dressed as a munchkin.

oh, I see. I didn’t even think to organise it sooner but got a phone call from David (Wildpix) and we thought it was time we got our local fellow travellers together. Besides, I figure there’s a story in it for the local paper so I’m killing three birds … metaphorically … a meeting, a story for the paper, and some exposure for Redbubble. Don’t ya like it when things come together like that?

in one way, bummer, Larry. In another way – oohaa, enjoy!!! Full costume, hey? Did you draw the short straw, or did you decide you didn’t really want to cross-dress?? ;o)

Sounds like a great idea – I will probably have more information re the Photo exhibition & competition being organised through the Lions Club – looking at the Australia Day Long Weekend, so it would be good to have a few locals in place.

I have been involved with theatre for most of my life.
I have performed in just about every musical and a few movies as well.
My 1st performance was 40 years ago with the Williamstown Light Opers Soc.
My last movie was “Strictly Ballroom”.
I still love to put on a bit of grease-paint or the occasional cossy.
And the answer to your question was No… I chose the Munchkin character. he he

Hey Larry, I saw the Williamstown production of King Lear about 25 years ago (were you involved in that). Obviously it stuck in my mind because it was such a brilliant performance by all. Very very good.

Now you have struck a sore point….
The only one of Shakespeare has been “12th Night”.
I ofter regret not getting totally involved with Shakespearian, as I have a total passion for Medieval, as you will see in about a month, when my next book comes out. ( castle magic )

I quite like Back to Bacchus but I thought Ballan was a tad more central – however we’ll see who’s coming and perhaps B to B would better if you want a meal or food of some sort.

just suggestion as i know the place your suggesting and i dont think its appropriate, it would not hold large group and its expensive..just my opinion.

If we meet at 3, it only takes about 45 minutes to get to Ballarat so that should be stacks of time. Glad you’re both coming. And Mick is a yes too, I think.

Would love to make it – it’s only about 45 minutes from me. But that Sunday I am attending a goodby lunch for someone that is probably going to go into the evening. BUT if I can I certainly will be there.
