I chose the name Muninn for several reasons; the perhaps-obvious one is that I love birds, especially ravens, and Muninn is one of the legendary ravens said to serve as the far-ranging eyes and ears of the Norse god Odin. However, Muninn also means “memory,” and to me art and photography are very much about making and capturing memories.
I have a variety of artistic interests, but they tend toward depictions of the natural (and unnatural, in the case of fantastic creatures) world. You’ll find quite a few reptiles in my art and photography, as I have a rescued Leopard Gecko who is my best buddy — and a fearsome creature, if his own accounts are to believed.
If nothing quite catches your fancy the first time around, you may want to come back a bit later; I am working on refining and increasing my portfolio after a long absence over the spring semester. Happy viewing!
