Dandie
With all the beautiful dandelion macros flying around RB at the moment, I wanted to try my hand at shooting one. I spotted a fine specimen in the garden at lunchtime, but when I went to harvest it, it had disappeared! All I could find was a poor, bedraggled looking little dandelion, so I worked with that instead.

I’m glad you tried your hand at a dande macro, because this is beautiful!! One of my favorites that i’ve seen. And you know how it is ” a good dandy is hard to find” . lol, I think i’ve had too much sun!! : )
Sarah Pett-Noble replied
Thanks so much, Jennifer, sometimes its hard to judge whether something is a good image or not in other peoples eyes, so your comment means a lot to me. Now go and have a cool drink and recover from your sunstroke medear :o)) xx
Ingz
It certainly does not look poor or bedragled!! its exquisite Sarah, one of the loveliest I have seen. I have gone for walks and found lovely full dandelions but sadly (with lots of care taken to protect it) when I get home most of it’s nearly all gone!! xxxx
Sarah Pett-Noble replied
Thanks so much, dear Ingrid, your comment means so much to me, it really does. So glad you give it your seal of approval my dear :o) xx There’s a garden full of dandes across the road but I daren’t go and take one as its not my house! xxxxx
Dawne Olson

Sarah Pett-Noble replied
Thanks so much, Dawne, glad you like it. There’s another dandelion growing and almost ready to open, so I’ll be there the moment it does! :o) xx
Erika .
This is magical! So dreamy in a way. Lovely capture Sarah.
Sarah Pett-Noble replied
Thanks so much, Erica, I used a blue piece of crepe paper as a background and it seems to have contrasted nicely with the pale dande. xx

Your poor little bedraggled dandelion is looking mighty grand tonight! Really a beautiful image, the blue background totally illuminates the flower and you achieved wonderful detail in the shot!
Sarah Pett-Noble replied
Hi Joanne, many thanks for the lovely comment. xx
Yool
Looks gorgeous Sarah well done !!!!!
Sarah Pett-Noble replied
Thanks so much, Yool, I upped the saturation of the blue a little in PS.
betha
Well it does not look Bedraggled anymore!! Nice work!. Same thing happened to me yesterday. In my original shots, the light was not so great, then it rained, the sun came out, but then the rain had ruined all the nice ones out in the lawn.
Sarah Pett-Noble replied
Thanks, betha, appreciated – what a shame about your dandelions though :o( There’s a garden full of them across the road but I daren’t go in and sneak a few out!!
Sharon Johnstone

It has produced a great image even if it was manky! They are really small out here, not big fat juicy ones like in the UK!
Sarah Pett-Noble replied
Thanks hun, I found some more today, whenI was taking Milo to nursery. They survived the journey home too!
