My name is Sarah and I live in Hull, East Yorkshire, UK. I have a quiet life with my partner John and young son, Milo. I was once a primary school teacher but took early retirement and now devote my time to enjoying life with my young son and working part time doing portrait photography in peoples’ homes with my portable ‘studio’ which consists of a Lastolite Hilite backdrop/lightbox for high key photography on a pure white background, various backdrops, 2 Interfit strobes, a softbox and my trusty camera.

I shoot with a Canon 50d, a Canon 50mm 1.8 and a Sigma 17-70 2.8-4.5 at the moment after having invested in a new camera, but hope eventually to go full frame and build up my lens collection.

My favourite subjects are babies, children, portraits and flowers but I’ll try my hand at anything.

I take inspiration from the beauty I see all around me, spectacular and mundane alike.
