APOLOGIES

I must apologise for being absent for so long.
We have been travelling around South Africa for around 3 years now (caravanning) and find it difficult to access the internet and, when we can, no or poor reception Hopefully we will be moving up North where we hopefully will have full access again.
All the best to everyone

Apologies and thank you's

I need to apologise to so many of you, to say thank you to many of you……. the apologies for not commenting on your beautiful, exceptional (and I mean it!) artwork, and not replying to your kind and inspiring comments on mine.
Thank you to the unknown buyer of twenty of my works, thank you to those I know who have purchased some of my art. Thank you to those of you who voted for my work in the different challenges on RB………
The last year has been absolute mayhem on all levels……… from murder to armed robberies, to taking in a destitute family, to my wife being diagnosed with Cancer (thankfully the surgery was successful!) ……. and more.
But, through it all, I learned some very valuable lessons. No matter what we’ve been through, there are many, many more worse off than us. I have come to truly app…

Lucky me

Three hours ago I was attacked by five masked, armed robbers in my garage who threatened to shoot me if I didn’t obey their commands. They set about choking and gagging me and tried to force me to close the garage door and lead them into the house. With a bucketload of luck and their stupidity I managed to outwit and outsmart them. Had they managed to get into our home heaven knows what would have happened to my wife and my family. It is not nice being held from behind and have a gun shoved into your face with their mates shouting, ‘Kill him, kill him’!
To add to their confusion, I started shouting at them and fed them such a load of bull#$*t that they panicked and ran off. I chased them but they escaped. Got the getaway car’s registration number but it was false.
I WILL FIND THEM!
Now I have…

Time.......

I am stepping down as host of ‘a class of its own’ and ‘people and portraiture photography’ due to a heavy workload and family responsibilities. I’d like to thank my co-hosts and members as well as RB for all the help and support in the past. Unfortunately my commitments don’t allow me much time on RB and I feel it is unfair to keep hosting groups without giving them my all.
It has been a fulfilling and enjoyable task………..

A message for all of us.....

Gabriel Garcia Marquez – Nobel prize winner for literature 1982
Gabriel has terminal cancer, and this is a letter to all his friends.…

If God, for one second, forgot what I have become and granted me a little bit more of life, I would use it to the best of my ability.

I wouldn’t possibly say everything that is in my mind, but I would be more thoughtful of all I say ………. I would give merit to things not for what they are worth, but for what they mean to express..

I would sleep less, I would dream more, because I know that for every minute we close our eyes, we waste sixty seconds of light.

I would walk while others stop; I would awake while others sleep.

If God would give me a little more life, I would dress in a simple manner, I would place myself in front of the sun, leaving not only my

Thank you...again!

Just to say a BIG thank you to those of you who voted for ‘Pyramids’ and ‘Reflections’ in the challenges. It was a pleasant surprise!
My apologies for not being very active on RB lately. I’m writing a crime novel and it has become a very demanding mistress.
Thanks again
