There is something that seems artificial about the image, as though it was constructed very adeptly from cardboard and paper. Is this a real photograph from Egypt?

Yes, it is real, but is a compilation (two photographs) of a statue in Memphis, just outside Cairo and The pyramids at Giza.

It’s been photoshopped (2 pics)....... the foreground image’s backdrop was a series of small vendor kiosks and tourists, which detracted from the overall effect.

Great how you’ve put the two images together. Having been there recently, I know how the backdrop detracts from the marvellous sculpture. The ancient Egyptians would have been proud of this showcasing of their work.

Hi Warriorprincess, it’s as you say. It was so frustrating with all the stalls and dirty background and it was such a beautiful sculpture that I decided to remove the entire background and complement it with another Egyptian background. Thanks for your comment!
