I think this was built and then burned down before the US was created ;-) I grew up within a mile of it so it is a common place thing for me. I don’t think twice about it. To be fair, I yearn for seeing the sights of the US as much as you do the UK – the mountains, the canyon, the falls, the cities the sounds and the smells. One day we can pass each other in the middle of the Atlantic.
