Had a lovely walk on this hot summers day up Whernside, starting from Ribblehead viaduct, with spectacular views over Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent, the Lakes and the Howgills. This was taken at the end of my journey as we made our way to the Station Inn for a well earned pint.
Built in 1870, Ribblehead Viaduct is a railway viaduct across the valley of the River Ribble at Ribblehead, in North Yorkshire, northern England. The viaduct is a Grade II* listed building and a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
