This weekend the river is much more flooded than I expected – although nowhere near where it sometimes gets… Was much colder this time than it was last time I was stood here a month ago – lovely, lovely winter.

Beautiful falls.. looks to be running pretty quick.. nice exposure and processing.. congrats on the feature.. :-))

  • Thank you – wasn’t sure about smoothing the water as it almost takes away from the movement of the flooding… but glad it turned out well!

Love the colour in the water, great shot Mat

  • Thank you – I believe the colour comes from the peat in the moors further up…

Nice shot Mat, makes a nice change to see a different angle of these falls.

  • Cheers Martin, if the water had been an inch higher I wouldn’t have been able to get there around the dam – so very well timed I think!

Great shot. Love the soft water your slow exposures caught. Great editing too

  • Thank you! It seems every time I go down there recently I’ve got something good out of it – nice to see the river at all different levels throughout the seasons…
