rapidshare…a file hosting place, unfortunately it’s often used by those uploading filesharing files, liked hacked software and games.

Sorry to hear that Marty. That’s why I don’t use it. I don’t think it’s that secure. I’m happy they’re refunding for you.

Paypal did open two disputes and gave me case numbers and it hadn’t hit my checking account over the weekend so I thought I caught it fast enough but then today ithe two transactions totaling 91.08 were trying to post to my checking account so I wound up closing that checking account. oh well. the bank recommended doing hat. I called Paypal to tell them as well. I realize that they have to treat it as a real transaction until the so-called “seller” responds. Ayeh like there’s a real seller in Switzerland who will be able to verify my information as the “buyer”

What really bugs me is that somebody accessed my paypal logon and id.

I wound up having to close that checking account as Paypal tried to take out the funds while the dispute was ongoing and they were trying to contact a seller. Seemed very fishy to me because this Rapidshare AG was originally in Germany until the government closed them down. There was a video on youtube about the fact that Rapidshare AG was just a name on a row of mailboxes. the video was in german so I couldn’t follow the dialog but a picture is worth a thousand words. Now it’s supposedly in Switzerland. probably in another row of mailboxes. paypal always seemed so secure to me. now I’m seeing that it’s not designed to protect consumers at all.
