Ohhhhhhh.. now I have to go back there.. ;0( This is one of my MOST favcorite places yet.. We had the time of our life in Utah. We set out from CO to go to the Grand Canyon.. wwnt through Utah on the way.. Got to the GC and stayed only one day and said lets go back to Utah and rent a 4 wheeler and go throught the desert instead!!! rhonda

John Ford loved Monument Valley for his westerns. Though little of the western history of the USA took place there. He certainly help make these rocks famous.

Love this, reminds me of my former home in Arizona. The red rocks there are also stunning in Sedona, but unfortunately has been made into a tourist trap for visitors and lost a great deal of its former pristine beauty. Wonderful shot.
