Natural Bridge of Alabama
We just happened upon this feature off a highway in Alabama. It is on private property and you pay a pittance to enter in a gift shop, then walk a very short distance to this view. It was spring and the foliage was beautiful.

Yes I did, you must be a local? Have you been here? I think you can google it, and search under natural bridge of Alabama.

i thought i had favorited this and it took me forever to find it again!!!
well, not forever, just 22 days =P
it looks like it may be “horse pens 40”???
was there a restaurant there with nobody in it?
there are alot of beautiful places like that here in the foothills of the appalachias.
buncha crazy hillbilly’s too so ya better watch out! haa!!!!
regina
ok, i googled it. it isn’t horse pens 40.
same area though, it’s in the next county.
i can’t believe i never hear of it. places like this are my haunts.
it seems they named the whole town after this bridge! haa!
BTW, your photo is much better than the ones they have on their website!

I have not been there, but I hope to someday. If it is in the Sipsey Wilderness area, there are many good sites I plan to visit.

Off what highway, my husband and I own 13 acres in alabama, 13 of 26 in the family. We are going back there for the winter this year, and I want to travel the state and do some shooting. I love this shot you took, and it does look a lot like home.
