STUNNING! that garden is “off the chain” as they say (hehe).

seriously…this garden is crazy beautiful, serene, creative, everything. It needs to be on the cover of a magazine.

  • Mark Ramstead replied

I hope to promote this garden in the future as a native and water conserving garden. It is beautiful yet uses much less water than a grass lawn. I push boudaries in all that I do… speaking of you… : )

There is so much to look at there Mark. I can see all of your collection in context. Is that all of your garden, or just one side of it? Like from the back of your house I mean? You’ve done a beautiful job there. :-))

  • Mark Ramstead replied

It is very hard to see all of it in any one photo. This view is the one we have from our dinner table, from the back of the house.THanks Sylvia.

I REALLY FOND OF STONES IN YOUR GARDEN, DID YOU BRING THEM, OR THEY WERE ALREADY THERE?

  • Mark Ramstead replied

The stones were found in a variety of locations. None were already in the yard. All were carried over a period of years in small hatch back cars, tercel, Civics and even my Mazda 3. There are a lot of places here to get rocks, finding ones with color takes more time…

why would you want a glass covering? and depending on all the things in there, they might not be able to handle a rain forest atmosphere. you know what i mean?

  • Mark Ramstead replied

am not covering the garden, in fact the roof may be 12 feet wide and maybe 6 feet deep. Just enough to hang a couple wooden benches. It is replacing what used to be an upstairs patio and railing. The sliding glass door will be replaced by a bay window. It is where our cats get out of the rain…

what a stunning garden! your cats must love it (all those fairies to chase)

  • Mark Ramstead replied

They do love it! One of them guards it too. I have tried to find garden social sites like Redbubble, but they don’t seem to exist.. Yet so many people do have unusual gardens…. I am flattered and happy that you like it!
