This place looks familiar. Where is it at? Great shot and I love your perspective.

Is it a house? Such a well kept yard, so beautiful

A folk artist’s house. His name escapes me for now…

Yes I have another view of this place here.
Nit Wit Ridge

In Cambria California, there used to live a man named Arthur Harold Beal. He was an eccentric folk artist who decorated his property in this unusual way. This is an older photo of his place taken while he still lived there. Notice the unbroken TV set in the rock wall. That is now broken and the place does not quite look the same either, though it has been bought and the new owners are trying to promote the history of the place. I share this picture because I’m fond of it and anybody who goes overboard decorating their homes in this way deserves to be remembered in a positive way.

WOW…I love it & thanks so much for the history on the man who used to own it. I hope the new owners pay tribute to his quirkiness!

Yes google gives us more info on the artist,”Arthur Harold Beal is known as Der Tinkerpaw or Captain Nitt Witt. Beal was garbage collector for the town of Cambria in the 1940s and ‘50s, and made good use of what Cambrians were throwing away, as well as the natural materials on the property” all the more reason to remember him. Much more can be viewed on the web. He shows us up as such a wasteful society. Good work MtnMan
