So I was listening to an old Springsteen show (19 Sept 1978 Capitol Theatre, Passaic, NJ) and he tells this story after Racing In The Street about how he was “driving to Nevada” and came across “this sign that said: ‘This is the land of peace, love, justice, and no mercy’ and it pointed this little dirt road that said Thunder Road”
