This 11×14 watercolor painting of a boxer dog was commissioned by a friend of the owner. I painted it with transparent colors on Arches 140 lb cold pressed paper.
I try to make a striking resemblance in my portraits. But I try not to make them look smooth and blended like a photo. I feel if I wanted a photo, then I should use a camera!
