Movies
I know there has to be some movie-lovers on here… I am in desparate need of a good horror or sci-fi movie I have not yet seen… I’m getting over the craze of blu-ray (damn, that movie looks great even though I’ve seen it twenty times, yeah that craze) and need some new stuff…
My taste is pretty broad but I am picky. So if you know of some gem give me a post…

Lost Boys: The Tribe = there was cheese! Have you seen Skin Walkers yet? How about Thirty Days of Night? I thought it was excellent. Skin Walkers was a tad bit cheesy, but not totally so.

I should watch the Lost Boys sequel out of love for the original if nothing else… I have not seen Skin Walkers but I do remember seeing it on the shelf at the video store, Thirty Days of Night disappointed me a bit I think my expectations were way too high but it was solid enough. I’m on a Guillermo Del Toro kick at the moment (he directed Pan’s Labyrinth and the Hellboy movies) I saw a previous movie of his called The Devil’s Backbone and it was amazing so now I’m trying to find another one called Cronos but no luck at the stores yet… Thanks for the suggestions I’ll have to check those two out.

I agree you should watch the Lost Boys sequel. As can so often be the case with sequels (especially ones following a “hit” original) you will likely find yourself wishing it was the original. Nuff said on that. I recommend “Mirrors” if you haven’t seen it. Recently released in DVD. I found this to be on the verge of scaring me (in these days where we are so desensitized to “scary”) Awww heck, I’ll be honest, there were moments that actually DID scare me. chuckle
Have you seen The Descent? Much liked that one.

I must have missed this when you first posted it, sorry. I loved The Descent it was intense,claustrophobic, and had a grim ending. Everything I ask for from a movie in other words. I dont know about that Mirrors movie though…..
