After spending the morning inside Missoula’s Southgate Mall photographing the beauties on display at this year’s first car show, I found this beauty parked in the parking lot.

Taken 4/17/2010 in Missoula Montana.

Nikon D80 DSLR, NIkkor 16-85 mm wide angle/tele/zoom lens set at 26 mm.

ISO 125, f /4.0, 1/1500 second

Finished in Photoshop CS4.

Born in Montana, raised in California, I’ve been holding a camera most of my life. I particularly love photographing the grand landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.

Beautiful car but i think i would have put more original looking hubcaps on it

  • Yeah, the custom wheels don’t really look very stock, but as I recall, the old JC Whitney catalogs were full of such fanciful things back when I was a kid (and this car was new).

    Great looking capture,..

  • Thank you. It was just so ironic finding this out in the parking lot after shooting the classic cars on display inside the mall.

This ol’ ford is sure pretty. Parents had one like this one too lol…ours was blue & white

  • My dad bought a new car every 3-4 years, starting with his first new car, a 1947 Kaiser (which looked a lot like my 1948 Frazer). He replaced the Kaiser with a 1950 Ford, then a 53 Ford, a 57 Ford Custom 300, in baby blue and colonial white, then a 1960 Ambassador, which was the first car I drove on a regular basis.
