There were never such devoted sisters

Artist's Description

This pair of 1955 Cadillacs would appear ready to be dressed up and taken out. Found in a field in Alberton, Montana, the old girls are in relatively fine shape, cosmetically speaking, that is. There are a few dings and dents, and some missing chrome, not to mention the taillight lens on the coupe. Who knows what they’re like mechanically speaking. Hiding behind the Sixty-Special sedan is a lovely blue coupe.

Taken in Alberton, Montana, 1/3/2010, using a Nikon D80 DSLR fitted with a Nikkor 16-85 mm wide angle/tele/zoom lens set at 55 mm. ISO 125, f /13.0, 1/60 second.

They just remind me of the Irving Berlin song.

Sisters, sisters,
There were never such devoted sisters.
Never had to have a chaperone, no sir.
I’m there to keep my eye on her.

Caring, sharing,
Every little thing that we are wearing.
When a certain gentleman arrived from Rome
She wore the dress, and I stayed home.

All kinds of weather, we stick together,
The same in the rain and sun.
Two different faces, but in tight places
We think and we act as one.

Those who’ve seen us
Know that not a thing could come between us.
Many men have tried to split us up but no one can.
Lord help the mister who comes between me and my sister.
And Lord help the sister, who comes between me and my man!
