A pair of 1948 Dodge cars, parked along the highway at Camas Prairie, Montana. They’re for sale, if you’re willing to meet the owner’s price, a price even he admits is probably too high. But then, he says he’s in no hurry to sell the old girls.

Taken 4/30/2013 on the Camas Prairie, Sanders County, Montana. Nikon D80 Nikkor 16-85 mm wide angle/tele/zoom lens set at 30 mm ISO 125, f /11.0, 1/180 second. Shot in RAW format, finished in Photoshop CS5.

Born in Montana, raised in California, I’ve been holding a camera most of my life. I particularly love photographing the grand landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.

I like the title. They look like my grandpa’s car.

  • Thanks, Kay. I remember these cars from my childhood—well, at least similar cars.
