Originally produced by the Joseph Horne’s department store in Pittsburgh, PA, this poster lives mostly in the hearts and memories of Steelers fans. I got a copy from my aunt-who worked at Horne’s-the day they came out and it has adorned a wall in every place I’ve lived ever since.
Recently I’ve been receiving requests for photos or copies of the poster, so much so that I’ve decided to make versions available the public. Despite hours of research I cannot find any further information regarding artist or copyright and since there is neither listed on the original, I’m offering them here. For purists, I’ve added a small “R” at the bottom to designate “Reprint”.
A great gift for those who remember the suspense leading up to the Steeler’s first Superbowl victory, or to create similar memories in your children. (Or grand-children!)
