Mom and Pop take advantage of the peace and quiet when and where they can

Yes, Papa’s paper is in French: after all, these are Canadian bears! (Literally, as that’s where I bought the great majority of those I own).
This is another in my series of “Life in the Burrow.” The set up is real, not Photoshopped. Mom and Pop are 2 inches tall which will give you an idea of the scale. I made the majority of “stuff” they own, including the book, candies, ice-cream, pillows, quilt, painting on the wall, Mama’s night-gown – even the Polka record-cover on the bottom right. The lamp, the wooden stool, the side-table and the old-time phonograph are from my miniature supplies.

(Edited in Photoshop for light, exposure, detailing here and there. Photographing miniatures has its own special challenges; every molecule of lint and dust you’d never see in real life, DOES show up in the photos! So does the slightest glitch – like a fallen apple on the floor, an upturned lamp or maybe cat hair (!) left inside the house by certain feline visitors who really, really like the little bears! Thank goodness for the patch tool. I used to take miniatures with film! And that’s enough to send a person to the loony bin!)
For anyone who thought my recent sci-fi robots were my only crazy project — ?? Nope. I’ve been doing miniatures for years. Some are bears, some are “other.”
lol! ~ Enjoy ~
