My project for today ~ photographing several of my husband’s latest miniatures. They are all railroad scale (for the model railroad!), so are considerably smaller than dollhouse scale. This is not the real set-up as it’s going to be when the railroad is done: he just wanted photos of the buildings. I said, “Let’s set up some props to give them life!” Thus the farmer, horse, pig, plow, etc. I’m sure it will be more elaborate and detailed, later.

Just thought I’d share! I took these on the work table with my Panasonic Lumix. Miniatures are difficult to photograph, to say the least ~ no special lighting here, just a couple gooseneck lamps.

This is made from scratch. He also made the wind-mill in the back.

The trouble here is, I also do miniatures (doll house scale) but I think he’s putting me to shame! lol

The job of the artist is always to deepen the mystery. Francis Bacon

    Tell Hubby…“Great Job!”

  • Thank you, Claude! Yes, there is one much like it out on Stagecoach Trail; there are others in the area as well (amazing how many, once you start to look!) Kinda like those corn cribs! LOL

WONDERFUL ROOFING WELL DONE INDEED lIZ)

  • Thanks, Liz! I do miniatures too but I’m afraid he’s more of a perfectionist than me. loL! Actually, he’s more on the construction ~ I’m more on the interiors (decorating, adding little characters). I did do a shingle roof one time for a dollhouse contest but it did not come out so great as his!
