Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect. ~Chief Seattle, 1855
Native Americans have always known this; why have we in the so-called modern world come to view ourselves as separate from Creation and the Universe… as though “removed” from everything around us and beyond us, relegating all the rest, whether microbes, rocks, algae, ducks, dogs or whales, even Time, stars and galaxies to tidbits in a cosmic petrie dish for our study and analysis? It seems to me, “studying” the Universe and all within is much like studying our own reflection in a sort of existential macro-mirror ~ except that we’ve removed the glass. We are All One: there is no delineation.
