Who Are We Destined to Become? by

Time keeps on slippin’ into the future … but what’s out there? Is it blank? (See full description to read)

Some physicists believe everything that’s ever happened, everything that’s going on right now and everything that’s ever going to happen already exists; in which case, space-time is like a movie made of individual nano-frames. The theory is that all energy and all matter making up our Universe erupted with the Big Bang ~ along with all the information (past, present, future ~ everything). As with a movie or a video, the still-frames only “seem” to move but pre-exist. Our consciousness or so the theory goes, flits from frame to frame always headed for a future chapter in the Cosmic plot. This would mean whoever we Become is already out there, up ahead in time.

It would mean our individual destinies are pre-determined, a distasteful concept to many; we like to think we have free will. In the end, I guess it’s just impossible to tell.

Not only an awesome image- fantastic insight on the state of being. Fantastic however empty you have made everything feel. Part of me agrees with this- it’s strange if this is just a ‘sequence’ and what I have read of yours has invoked a sense of longing and hopelessness. Fantastic.

  • Thank you for your very thoughtful comment! I’m not sure at all I buy the theory but it’s interesting. Funny, it seems none of the physicists agree ~ there are those who say this is the case and those who say it’s not, and then there are the ones who say the Universe is multi-dimensional, so endless copies of ourselves exist where every probability is real ~ somewhere else?? Gets confusing! ha Glad you liked this though!

very interesting Nadya the reading and your work just brilliant…..I sometimes feel from experience that everything is preprogrammed for want of a better word, but we have free will as to how we re-act to events of the future…..which of course would alter it to some extent…

  • Thanks, Irene! I really think we do have our choice. From what I’ve seen and read, the physicists do not agree on very much. It’s fascinating though! I guess if life were really pre-determined we wouldn’t know it anyway. Then there are the ones who say there are endless copies of ourselves in alternate dimensions so everything we might do~ occurs anyway?? Hmm. It’s winter here, I think I’m watching too much Science Channel. LOL! Appreciate your comment!
