TOP 10!

The windmill I used here is called De Immigrant (my own photograph) — one of only two working windmills in the USA producing grain. First assembled in the Netherlands and then transported to its current site where they reconstructed it from scratch, it’s on the Mississippi River in Fulton, Illinois.

The lovely lady is from Lockstock at DeviantArt (“windy” series).

There are lilacs in the background… also from a photograph of mine. Texture and multiple light layers are applied, all in sepia.

Gorgeous creation and work, Nadya!! How do you do this?

  • Thank you, Carol! There are 3 separate photos here.. the windmill (background), the woman, and a shot of lilacs. I turned them all to sepia first, then I layed them over one another using various blends of light. You have to experiment (instead of normal light, try using Overlay or Vivid Light — and not necessarily at 100%.) Basically I “experiment” until I get the look I like! Hope I’m making sense here… Bubblemail me, if not! I appreciate your comment!
