I took the path less chosen this time home. Whenever I go home to my beloved Duluth, I take a drive up the Northshore of Lake Superior to see what I can see. It is where I find my mojo, where I go to rejuvenate, contemplate and recharge.
I decided to take on some new trails this time. I drove north to mile marker 70 to be exact. The 1 mile hike is nice and wide, easy to follow w/ stairs that descend to the base of the falls but I wasn’t happy with where it lead. A small North East corner, cutting off the other side of the falls. After leaving my hikers and socks behind, I braved the hypothermia inducing waters to a better base spot to see her in her full beauty. Well worth the frozen piggys :)

I love the way water plays over this type of rock face. Beautifully veiled and gentle in parts, then supremely powerful in other areas. Wonderful capture, Angela.
It is a gorgeous place to visit, glad you like this one John, thank you
