Towards Burnt Hill from Chunal by

Taken in the light of a passing car, this is the first and darkest of a trio of shots looking over towards the moon, which was hidden behind a cloud bank.

The shot was taken in very low light which necessitated a long exposure. While the shot was taking, a car came up the hill from Glossop and the headlights swept the field and wall.

I love the moodiness of this shot – it says Hounds and Baskervilles to me. I hope you like it too.

Taken with a Canon EOS-1100D with the 18-55mm EF-S Lens

I love nothing more than wandering the hills with a camera! I’m originally a Cumbrian, but I now live in the Peak District and draw inspiration from the natural beauty of the landscape.
