Fable of a feline-female transformation

One lonely day a girl becomes a cat.

She sloughed away her skin
preferring sleek fur to her pale covering.

No need for a name,
she craved feline aloofness.

Unused to a tail,
she wound and wriggled it seductively.

But this was for herself,
there was no playful intent to attract a mate.

No longer weak,
she sharpened her claws and teeth.

Her dormant desires awakened:
the need to run…

To howl, mioaw and yowl;
to devour the flesh of enemies…

The girl had battled foes before,
but as a cat, could creep through doors.

No longer entrapped by fear and shame,
no longer requiring a name.

She pounced upon
her end-game.
