Another piece joining my art and my writing together. This writing is raw, and it is a true personal experience.
The Invisible Friend
“It was late after work and she was sitting at the bus stop. Its a rather large stop with several shelters and benches. She had been sitting there quite awhile alone. An older black gentlemen walked up and sat on a bench outside the shelter she was sitting in. He was sitting right in front of her so she watched him. She coudnt help notice that there was something not right with him. She could only guess that the man must be suffering from schizophrenia. It seemed to her that he talking with someone whom only he could see. The amazing thing about it was that this man was happy. At one point he was laughing so hard that he had to get up and runaway for a minute before he came and sat back down still laughing. And the more she watched this man laugh and carry on with his appearantly hilarious invisible friend, she started to envy him. Here he was, taking the bus, and having the best time despite his ailments and despite what others thought of him. At this moment she realized that this invisible person was this mans angel and this man the gift to see it.”
Each digital painting is derived from a photograph that I have taken myself. The photographs are my palette to create each computer generated painting. I like the viewer to take from each painting what they want..what they see..how it makes them feel. So I prefer to not disclose exact descriptions of each piece. Of course some are more simple and the title tells all. But do not let the title of my works distract you, as in many of my paintings, you may find more than what the title states.
