Pastel painting on colourfix.paper.When my daughters were young I used to knit and sew more than paint.I always had some knitting on the go and loved knitting in front of the fire on cold winter evenings.
Beautiful work! Oh, these precious hours, I think I know exactly what you mean :)
Thank you Paulina. They were precious hours and I really loved making their clothes and knitting their jumpers etc. …then along came Target…By the time they were teenagers, it was more viable (cheaper) to let them go buy their outfits.
Very nice eyes, mouth, and hands here!
Thank you Randy…I enjoyed doing this one.I love using pastel , but somehow I don’t get to do it very often…I must get back to it.
Thank you Niki! This is most exciting !
This just makes me smile. It reminds me of sewing circle at our house.
Congratulations on the well deserved feature.
Thank you for the congratulations Jenny! I was usually showered , relaxed and ready for bed when I settled into knitting in the evenings….a time of day I always used to look forward to.
This is one of your paintings that I really love Sandra. I am so fortunate to have seen it ‘in the flesh’ and anyone who happens to be passing through Seymour can also see this as part of the ‘Permanent Collection’ at the Old Courthouse Gallery.
Thanks for the above Lynda! I was actually thinking to myself “I wonder where this painting went to?”((HUGS))
Congratulations Sandra, it great to see your portrayal of these traditional crafts
Thank you Maria…I did all of the traditional crafts…until my kids reached teenage and we all found Target!!
