Request for advice on framing and hanging exhibits

May I congratulate and thank you for the many hours of satisfaction I have had admiring all of your obvious attributes as both an artist and, I think, a most warm and outgoing personality. I find all of your entries most entertaining and have brought them to the attention of a particular friend of mine. Like me, my friend is the rather discerning type and appreciates talent no matter what form it may take. We are both of the view that talent, where appropriate, should be shared in order to spread a little happiness and perhaps open new life experiences to others.

I am pleased to inform you that I am now in possession of several of your artworks and have the firm intention of adding more, no matter how hard I may find it in view of the current restraints. I often think that the harder things get the more resilient and inventive people become in order to achieve their desires, assuming of course that one has a desire or an empty space that they think has to be filled.
Can I ask you for advice in respect of the best way to ensure that exhibits are well hung to bring out the best in them. With regards to larger exhibits, would you advise a single or a double mounting? Single mounts seem to be the most popular but sometimes I think the single mount is lacking something and does not bring out the best in the subject matter although a single mount with a filling piece on the inside edge of the frame can counteract this. On the other hand I think that the double mount seems to add more depth, I suppose it’s a matter of proportion and a case of getting the correct relationship between overall size, choice of mounts and frame size. Do you have a view on the best way to get maximum pleasure from an exhibit whether it be physical or mental, bringing pleasure to the eye of the beholder or making one see a different aspect in ones mind?
Positioning is also giving me a bit of a headache. I realise that all hangings are best viewed at eye level but give limited wall space it is difficult to decide which ones should be hung higher and those that should be hung lower. I have been in galleries where one would have to get down on ones knees to have proper view of things whilst having to stretch a bit to appreciate the full significance of others, no doubt you have had experience of this yourself. Do you think that the larger ones should be given preference over the smaller ones in relation to positioning, should one look up to big ones and down on little ones or vice versa. It’s often said that size does not matter but I think when it comes to fitting hangings into a limited space it is important to get it right, not necessarily at the first attempt as I have discovered. After trying my exhibits in various positions I find that I have several holes to fill due to my banging away too freely with my hammer drill equipment. I would appreciate any advice you may offer on this as I will have to make a final decision as to positioning. When this has been decided I will make sure the hole is in the correct position, insert a plug, administer a good heavy screw and take it as it comes from there.
As I said earlier, I am very appreciative of your versatility and abilities and would like to add to my collection of your works. I am an admirer of your cat pics and think that in this one you have become the owner of the perfect pussy. I would be delighted to have this on my wall and am sure it would bring me many hours of enjoyment. Could you let me know her dimensions so that I can leave a space free for her to fill when she becomes available.
Thank you once more for your work , always makes me smile. Looking forward to any reply which may be forthcoming. Best wishes. 8~)
