The Time? Dawn.
The day? April 25th.
The Year? It doesn’t matter.
The memory? Eternal
96 years ago today The brave men of the ANZAC corps stormed the beaches of Gallipoli and gave their lives for their country. Though a lot died that day a legend was also born.
Melbourne’s Shrine of Rememberance was built to Honour those men and all who have served their country since.
Every year on this day a service is held at dawn to
Honour the memory of our fallen Mates.
This morning as I stand amongst more than a 1000 people, The Last Post is sounded, the fog rolls in and a somber Silence falls over the Crowd.
We will never forget.
