The BEST Christmas present!
At the RSPCA, in Yagoona, there is an ad., which announces that elderly people need a pet.
That’s me!!!
After the traditional Christmas Lunch, last December, I brought home all the presents, in a box.
Apart from food, Remi could not have asked for a better present!
It’s now: Remi’s Room! 
It stayed on the lounge room floor (Typical!) for a few days, after I’d removed the presents to various locations (like wardrobe, etc.).
Remi came to keep me company, while I watched t.v., and investigated this new addition to the furniture.
Another youngish cat had had a chance to explore the box in its previous location and I suspect that this made taking it over, such an adventure!
At first he carried on, as I have seen cats do, when I sometimes pass by Funniest Home Video Show.
He would sniff and sniff. Climb inside and then – suddenly – LEAP out, as though the enemy had bitten his b.

Since those early days we have had loads of fun with that box.
He’ll get inside an I’ll close the lid. A little paw will come streaking out to attack the lid and hopefully my hand.

Or I’ll close it up, with him inside and carry it to and exciting new location. So that when he looks out over the top, he finds himself on top of the bed, or on the kitchen floor, or where-ever and he has new battles to win.

Too many other games have been played, to list here, and still he comes back to it.
With a whole house to get comfortable in, this seems to be the safest place.

A few weeks ago an alternative arrived for him. It had contained the Maroubra Bay High School memorabilia and that has become his spare room , the other place to sleep.
....
( I believe that Remi may have sensed the dna left behind, on the box, by this young fellow!)
