Musical chairs @ Bantry Bay, on the 1st of May!! by

That rhymes!!!
Celebration of the Dutch Queens Birthday.
Told the man standing beside me that I had my pupils play this (without the chairs), at my last school, many times.
I’m sure he was being polite when he said he understood!
My version was learnt, at Bob Potter’s Dance studio, in the 60s. (Strictly ballroom.)
‘Boys’ and ‘girls’ (different age groups) lined up with their hands on one hip, alternate to the one in front.
The other gender ran around and hooked into an elbow when the music stopped.
Memories! Memories!
My “musical chairs” was played in the “double room”, at my last school.
Here, today, 1 May, it was played on slightly wet grass. :)

In 1969, I enrolled in the “Art Teachers Conversion Course”. It was my first experience of formal art lessons. Soon other interests prevailed, until, I had lunch, in Hazelhurst and then enjoyed the art classes there. Culminating in my exhibition, in 2008.
