In briny seas which flow beneath frozen crystal mountains lurks a colossal monster known as the Marumoddra. A marine relative to the aerial Marubodem, which prefers to live floating just below the clouds in warmer lands. Little is known about this family of creatures other than they are as old as the mountains themselves. Though generally they are thought to be sentient, decades can pass without them moving or making any sounds at all.
